Academic Interests ¶
ConductingPolymers and Related Materials ¶
Electrically conductive polymers are known as new class of polymer materials of unique functionality. Recently these materials are applied to the fields of plastic metals, (semi)conductor devices, flat panel display, all plastic batteries, and nano structures. Our research interests include:
- Developing small BandGap systems adopting theoretical molecular design.
- Improving processability by using copolymerization and composite formation.
- Finding novel analytical probes of ion transport and storing during the electrochemical redox reaction by use of spectroelectrochemical methods.
- Applications are performed such as anti-statics, sensors, batteries, and LED.
- Nano structures formed by electrochemical template synthesis.
- Nano circuit design based on electrochemistry of conducting polymers
Chemical Education based on e-media ¶
Quantity and quality of educational material of chemistry are in expanding stage always. Especially drawings and pictures in text books are too sophisticated to present on black board in the class. Digitally generated data can be easily used in class room and updated with little effort. The procedures are:
- Information surfing and saving useful material
- Regeneration of lecture materials
- Distribution of materials through e-media
- Development of e-tablet use in class
